Bambu Lab Launches the High-Performance 3D Printer H2D with Laser Engraving and Cutting

Bambu Lab

On March 25, Bambu Lab officially unveiled its highly anticipated 3D printer, the H2D. This powerful all-in-one personal manufacturing center integrates 3D printing, laser engraving and cutting, CNC cutting, and drawing functions into a compact desktop system, making it a true hybrid manufacturing machine. This launch is expected to prompt the industry to rethink how makers, engineers, and designers approach desktop manufacturing.

  • Bambu Lab H2D (Available June): $1,899
  • Bambu Lab H2D AMS Combo Standard: $2,199
  • Bambu Lab H2D Laser Full Combo (10W): $2,799
  • Bambu Lab H2D Laser Full Combo (40W): $3,499
Note: Laser modules will be shipped in separate boxes.

Currently, a large number of FDM technology users, whether they have used Bambu Lab machines or not, have likely heard descriptions of their “stability” and how they are “truly a complete device.” While several brands have previously introduced all-in-one desktop 3D printers, none have managed to build a substantial user base, and many manufacturers have even exited the market. Furthermore, full-color 3D printing has been a key industry goal, and Bambu Lab has successfully overcome this challenge, achieving significant success in the consumer 3D printing market.

The H2D is officially described as delivering the value of four machines in one, with a maximum print size of 350 x 320 x 325mm and integrating multi-material printing, CNC blade cutting, laser engraving and cutting, and drawing capabilities.

Supported Materials

The device is compatible with a wide range of materials, including:

  • Standard Filaments: PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA, BVOH, ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PET
  • Fiber-Reinforced Filaments: Carbon fiber/glass fiber-reinforced PLA, PETG, PA, PET, PC, ABS, ASA
  • High-Performance Materials: PPA-CF/GF, PPS, and PPS-CF/GF

Advanced Printing Capabilities

  • Nozzle Design: Supports up to 350°C hotend temperature
  • Heated Bed: Maximum temperature of 120°C
  • Heated Chamber: Up to 65°C

These features allow for the reliable printing of high-performance materials such as carbon fiber and glass fiber-reinforced filaments, which traditionally require professional or industrial-grade equipment with a much higher price point. Bambu Lab is poised to break this barrier.

Laser Module Options

The H2D Laser Edition offers optional 10W or 40W laser modules, supporting laser cutting, engraving, and drawing functions. Dedicated laser cutting machines are typically bulky and expensive, but the H2D’s integration of 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC cutting makes it an extremely attractive and versatile tool.
