On May 22, it was reported that according to the latest IDTechEx report, the metal additive manufacturing market is projected to grow to USD 13 billion (approximately RMB 93.6 billion) by 2035, nearly doubling over the next decade.

The report highlights that the technology is expanding beyond prototyping and mold making into end-use applications such as aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing. It also emphasizes the dominance of LPBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion), the rapid development of the Chinese market, and the uncertainties brought by tariff policies.
